Frequently Asked Questions
Japanese Wagyu is known for its unmatched marbling, tenderness, and rich umami flavor. Unlike conventional beef, Wagyu cattle in Japan are raised under strict conditions, with a focus on lineage, diet, and stress-free environments. This produces intramuscular fat (BMS 8–12) that creates a melt-in-your-mouth texture unlike anything else.
Yes. Every cut of Japanese Wagyu we offer is 100% authentic and imported directly from Japan. We only source from certified farms and regions such as Miyazaki, Kobe Wine, and Kagoshima. Each shipment includes official documentation and meets the strict A5 grading standards set by the Japanese Meat Grading Association.
A5 is the highest possible grade for Japanese Wagyu, based on yield (A) and quality (5). The Beef Marbling Score (BMS) ranges from 1 to 12, with A5 Wagyu scoring between BMS 8–12, indicating extremely high levels of marbling, which contributes to its luxurious texture and flavor.
Due to its high fat content, Japanese Wagyu is best cooked in small portions over high heat, such as searing on a cast iron skillet. Avoid over-seasoning — a light sprinkle of salt before cooking is often enough. Let it rest before slicing, and enjoy it in small bites to fully appreciate the richness.
We ship all orders in insulated packaging with cold packs to preserve freshness. Your Wagyu arrives frozen or partially frozen and can be stored in the freezer for over a year. We recommend thawing slowly in the refrigerator overnight before cooking for the best texture and flavor.
